Elecon is a Russian manufacturer specialized in 1/43rd scale diecast truck models, based in Kazan (Tatarstan region) and in business since 1978. In the 1980s Elecon was the second most important manufacturer of diecast models in the Soviet Union, behind the Radon-/Tantal-Group; 50'000 models were produced every year. The Elecon truck models are very well detailed, and unlike other Russian diecast model manufacturers, the company could even increase the level of quality of its models during the 1990s. The range mainly consists of contemporary KamAZ, ZIL and Ural trucks in various civilian and military liveries, but also includes a model of the 1924 AMO F15, the first truck built in the Soviet Union. Besides model cars, other products such as electrical connectors, halogen lamps, valves and medical equipment are also made by Elecon.
