Juguinsa, a company from Venezuela, produced diecast models based on Spanish Pilen castings between the mid-1970s and the early 1980s. At least three different 1/43rd scale models were made: AMC Javelin, Monteverdi Hai and Fiat 124 Sport Coupé. Furthermore, Juguinsa released six contemporary Formula 1 cars in 1/64th scale (Lotus, Brabham, Ligier, McLaren, Wolf, Ferrari), which were also copies of Pilen models. Build quality was quite good, but not up to Pilen standards. For example, some smaller parts of the Juguinsa models are made of plastic instead of the metal ones of the Pilen models, and the Juguinsa cars feature one-piece hard plastic wheels instead of realistic cast hubs and rubber tyres.
