A factory based in the Kyrgyz city of Kara-Balta produced a simple 1/32nd scale model of the American sports car Chaparral 2D in the 1970s and 1980s. It is a non-motorized copy of a slot car made by the East German manufacturer Prefo, but windows and wheels of the model from Kyrgyzstan are cruder. The body and additional parts are made of plastic, the chassis of metal. According to the enclosed instruction sheet in Russian language for assembly and disassembly, the model, which is only described as a "racing car" ("avtomobil gonochnyi"), has been made by a tenant organization called "Bakyt".
