MTech is a range of 1/43rd scale models of contemporary Japanese cars and trucks introduced in the 1990s by the Japanese company Epoch. While the first models, which were still manufactured in Japan, feature opening parts, later Chinese-made models usually no longer have this feature, but are better detailed. Several particularly well detailed MTech miniatures were marketed in a series called "M4" (for "Multi Material Miniature Model"), but there is no connection with the Italian manufacturer of the same name. Around the year 2000 and soon afterwards, Epoch/MTech also released a series of 1/72nd scale models of Japanese cars and models for the Tosa range of detailed 1/43rd scale Toyota cars.
