RAMI models were introduced by the French company JMK, based in Lure (Haute-Saône department), in 1958. RAMI stands for "Rétrospectives Automobiles Miniatures", JMK for the three founders of the company, Léon Jarry, Henri Malartre, and Emile Koch. The company specialized in models of classic cars originally built between 1878 and 1934. The models are made of diecast and mostly in about 1/43rd scale. Until the late 1960s, 39 different models were added to the catalogue. The last RAMI model, a 1927 Mercedes-Benz SSK, was introduced in 1969.
