The Austrian company Trident started producing 1/1250th scale ship models in 1966, which were sold in large quantities through the following decades. White metal kits of 1/87th scale vehicles were later added to the range, and 1/87th scale plastic models were introduced in 1989. Besides military vehicles, the range concentrates on American vans, off-road vehicles and pick-ups from the 1980s (Chevrolet Van, Blazer and Suburban), which have been released in many realistic liveries, including ambulances, police and fire brigade cars.
