Due to the rising wages in China, Premium & Collectibles Trading Co. Ltd., the manufacturer of Ixo models and of partwork models for Altaya, Atlas, De Agostini and other customers, established a model car factory in Bangladesh in 2014. The first models produced here were 1/43rd scale commercial vehicles made for various partwork series (notably fire engines and buses for Hachette) as well as for the truck series in the Ixo range. 1/43rd and 1/18th scale model cars for other ranges followed soon. Models by the traditional French manufacturer Solido and, since 2020, some by Schuco from Germany, are also made in the same factory.
