Carlo Brianza started manufacturing highly detailed model cars in large scales in 1963. In the beginning, these were one-offs made of brass. In 1973, he founded the company ABC-Brianza together with his wife Ella. They have produced high quality handbuilt resin models, mostly in 1/43rd scale, but also in various other scales from 1/10th to 1/87th, notably Ferrari cars in 1/14th scale. The 1/43rd scale range focuses on sports, racing, and luxury cars from Italy and elsewhere. In the 1990s, ABC-Brianza also made exclusive promotional models for the Fiat group, and more recently commercial vehicles such as racing car transporters have been added to the range. After Carlo Brianza had passed away in 1994, his children Andrea and Laura took over the leading roles within the company. ABC-Brianza is based in Tradate, Varese province, in Northern Italy and also imports and trades model cars by other brands.
