Auto World is a brand name used by Round 2, a collectibles company founded by Thomas Lowe in South Bend, Indiana, in 2005. Meanwhile, Round 2 has acquired various well-established brands such as AMT and MPC plastic kits, as well as Ertl and Johnny Lightning diecast collectibles. The Auto World name is used for 1/64th scale slot racers, but also for the "True L.E. (Limited Edition)" series of detailed diecast models in the same scale introduced in 2011. The first model in this series, in which the tools are destroyed after the production run is completed, was Thomas Lowe’s personal car, a 2010 Dodge Challenger. 1/43rd scale resin models were added to the range in 2013, starting with the Plymouth Fury from the horror movie "Christine".
