Barlux was a brand of diecast models founded by Luciano Baravelli, an Italian toy importer, in Bologna in 1972. Its first products were simple 1/66th scale models of contemporary Formula 1 racing cars. These were followed by some sports and luxury cars in the same scale. Motorcycles, commercial and agricultural vehicles in larger scales were also added to the range, notably a Fiat Campagnola off-road car in 1/25th scale and a Fiat 697 TP truck in 1/35th scale, which were both available in various versions. Barlux went out of business in 1981, but Giodi, another Italian manufacturer, continued the production of the models.
