CEF Replex was a French manufacturer of diecast models. The company was mainly active in the 1980s and 1990s and focused on fire engines, commercial and military vehicles in 1/43rd scale, as well as on construction vehicles in 1/25th to 1/50th scale. In addition to contemporary trucks, the range in 1/43rd scale also included several classic trucks and buses, notably by Magirus and Scania-Vabis, as well as the first Swedish car with internal combustion engine, built by Gustaf Erikson in 1897. Furthermore, the company released a 1/43rd scale model of the contemporary Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W140) in the early 1990s. This model had been commissioned by the French Mercedes-Benz importer because they were not satisfied with the quality of the official promotional model provided by Cursor from Germany. Finally, in addition to their own models, CEF Replex produced several 1/43rd scale models of classic cars for Rextoys.
