Hendrik Medrow from Leegebruch, Brandenburg, Germany, manufactured 1/43rd scale handbuilt models of racing cars from the former GDR under the name of Easter43. The first model, a Melkus MT77 as run in the Formula Easter racing series, was released in 2005. This model, representing the most successful East German single seater from the late 1970s and 1980s, became the most important product by Easter43 and has been issued in over 30 different versions. But other racing cars from the Formula Easter series were also added to the range, as well as touring cars based on Trabant, Lada, Skoda and Zastava cars, and the Melkus PT73 sports prototype. The models are made of resin and very well detailed. They were made to order and have been developed in collaboration with two companies specialized in production and distribution of handbuilt models, FPM and Scala43. Production of the resin models ceased in late 2017.
