Edison Giocattoli was an Italian toy manufacturer. The company was founded in 1958 by Giampiero Ferri and was based in Barberino di Mugello near Florence. It mainly produced toys for younger children and became well known in the 1960s and 1970s for its toy guns. In the 2000s, Edison Giocattoli released a series of inexpensive but quite well detailed Chinese-made 1/43rd scale diecast model cars. The actual manufacturer of these models was Grani & Partners, who also produced similar models for Schuco and for various partwork series. Edison Giocattoli's range included classic and current Italian cars, emergency vehicles, German and British sports cars, and military vehicles. A Fiat 600 Coriasco as used by the manufacturer itself as a delivery van, made of white metal in 1/43rd scale, was available as an exclusive promotional model. The company went into liquidation in 2020.
