Besides character toys and plastic model kits, the Japanese company Eidai Grip also produced diecast model cars in various scales in the late 1970s. The range consisted of contemporary sports and racing cars in 1/20th, 1/28th and 1/43rd scale, with the largest number of models available in the uncommon 1/28th scale. The models are highly detailed and have an excellent finish, but they were only sold for a short time. As a consequence, they are rare and very collectable today. The same company also manufactured diecast models of commercial vehicles and construction vehicles in smaller scales from 1/50th to 1/100th under the Grip Zechin name.
