Frímerkjasalan is the name of the Icelandic philatelic bureau. Besides stamps, this department of the Icelandic post also sells limited edition diecast model cars. Most models are based on Lledo and Corgi products and decorated in the liveries of the Icelandic postal service from various decades. About one model per year was released from 2003 to 2010: Ford AA (2003), Renault Master (2004), Bedford 30cwt (2005), Mack truck (2006), Land Rover (2007), Bedford OB post coach (2008), VW T1a Transporter (2010). A modern DAF truck in 1/87th scale, made by the Dutch company WSI Models, followed in 2013. Most other models are in about 1/64th scale, the Bedford bus in 1/76th, the Land Rover in 1/43rd and the VW in 1/50th shale. The first issues of the range, as well as the DAF truck, came with a postcard showing a picture of the original vehicle.
