Gems and Cobwebs was the name of an antiques shop run by Bernie und Graham duCros in Maidenhead near London. In the 1980s, they specialized in selling obsolete model cars, and in 1988 they moved to Cornwall, where they started producing 1/43rd scale white metal model cars several years later. The range consisted of many Jaguar cars and other British prototypes from the 1930s to the 1960s. The models were originally sold under the Gems and Cobwebs name, later the brand name "Milestone Miniatures" (not to be mistaken for the homonymous South African manufacturer) was developed, and two additional ranges were introduced, a range of historic racing cars for Brooklands Museum and a range of American cars called "43rd Avenue". Production ceased in 2008.
