Sergio Goldvarg, an Argentinean architect, journalist and model car collector, introduced his own range of 1/43rd scale handbuilt white metal models under the name of Goldvarg Collection in 1990. The first model was a 1957 Oldsmobile Starfire, and ten other classic American cars from the 1940s and 1950s were added to the range in the following years. The models looked similar to the contemporary Brooklin models, but the level of detail was slightly better. The production site was located in Buenos Aires; only the last issue, a 1958 Oldsmobile Coupé Hardtop, was manufactured in England by SMTS. Sergio Goldvarg emigrated to the United States in 2001, and opened a restaurant in Florida where he displayed a part of his collection. After a long break, he revived his brand by introducing a new range of detailed 1/43rd scale models in 2017. The range focuses on classic American cars again, but the models are now made of resin and manufactured in China.
