Among the tin toys manufactured by the Turkish company Gürel in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, there were numerous cars and commercial vehicles. The models were rather simple and did not feature any interior detail – windows showing drivers and passengers were simply lithographed on the tin. In addition to generic toy cars, several models of contemporary cars (Mercedes-Benz saloon, Renault 12, VW Golf, Audi Quattro) were released in various different colors, as emergency vehicles and in racing versions. Various buses by Mercedes-Benz and Deutz were also modelled by Gürel.
