Hübner Feinwerktechnik GmbH, a company based in Tuttlingen (Southern Germany), started producing 1-gauge (1/32nd scale) model trains and accessories for Märklin in 1982. Since 1992 Hübner products were sold under the company's own name, and in 1998 the cooperation with Märklin ended. Hübner manufactured several road vehicles in 1/32nd scale: A diecast model of the VW Beetle was followed by a detailed plastic model of the Tempo Hanseat in different body styles in 2001, and a Magirus Mercur truck was added to the range in 2005. Furthermore, a 1/24th scale diecast model of the Chinese state limousine Hongqi CA770 was distributed by Hübner. Due to health reasons, the company founder Wolfgang Hübner gave up his business in late 2005, and all tools and the remaining stocks of the company were taken over by Märklin in August 2007.
