After his father Francesco (FDS) and his brother Pasquale (Top Model Collection) had already entered the model car business, Giovanni De Stasio founded his own company Jolly Model in Naples in 1995. In the following years, he released a wide range of 1/43rd scale resin models, mostly Italian sports and racing cars from the 1950s and 1960s with a strong focus on Ferrari. Some of these models were also produced in 1/87th scale in a series called "Jollyni". Quality and finish of the 1/43rd scale models are not on the same level as products by competitors such as Best, Bang or Spark. However, Jolly Model has modelled many rare cars that were not available from other model car manufacturers.
