K.I. Models was founded by Kobi Warshan and Igor Roshkovan in Holon, Israel, in 1997. Originally the company made models of Israeli ambulances, fire brigade, police and post office vehicles in 1/43rd scale, based on diecast models by Eligor from France and Old Cars from Italy. Later K.I. Models started producing handbuilt models, including a very detailed 1/43rd scale model of the 1886 Benz tricycle.
