Roland Marks from Rehau, Bavaria, started producing white metal handbuilt models in small scales under the name of Marks Metallmodellclassics in the 1980s. The range focused on cars and commercial vehicles from 1900 to 1960 in 1/160th scale, matching the N-gauge model railways. In addition, Marks also released detailed 1/87th scale models of classic cars from the early 20th century: Mercedes Simplex, Opel Doktorwagen, Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, and a Benz-Gaggenau from 1912 available as a fire engine and as a lorry with various bodies. Production ceased around 2017.
