Miber, a manufacturer from Singapore, presented some prototypes of 1/87th scale plastic model cars at the 1985 Nuremberg Toy Fair, but only in 1989, these models were finally available in hobby shops. Germany, where 1/87th scale is particularly popular among collectors, was the most important market for Miber. The headquarters of the company were thus installed in Germany, first in Neu-Isenburg and from 1990 on in Bielefeld. Miber offered a wide range of European and Japanese cars, including some super sports and luxury cars. Later the main emphasis was set on racing models with decals and fine prints. Since the company focused on prototypes neglected by other contemporary industrial model car manufacturers in this scale, the Miber models were quite interesting for collectors, but they were less detailed than the 1/87th scale models made by their German competitors. The production of the Miber range already ceased in 1995.
