Mira was a Spanish manufacturer of diecast models. The company was founded in 1967 by Francisco Mira Brotóns and José Antonio Mira Guillem. In 1972, Mira introduced its first small truck model, and in 1975, a series of 1/43rd scale models of contemporary cars was released. Some of these models shared the moulds with products by Pilen and Dinky Toys Spain. In addition, Mira produced 1/64th scale trucks and cars in 1/55th to 1/66th scale, the latter often in racing car liveries. In the late 1980s and the 1990s, Mira focused on larger scales and made 1/24th and 1/18th scale models of contemporary sports cars and classic American cars. Production ceased in 2000. While the moulds of the 1/18th scale models were sold to Solido, Scale Carr from Barcelona reissued some modified versions of 1/43rd scale Mira models from the 1970s in 2002.
