Novacar was the brand name of the Minia Porto company, a Portuguese model car manufacturer. The company had been bought by Majorette in the late 1980s and produced low-cost versions of Majorette models with plastic bodies and diecast bases from 1994 to 1996. The range included some old Majorette castings, but also many new models simultaneously produced by Majorette in other series. Some models, like the Peugeot 605 and a 1980 Chevrolet Corvette, were exclusively made by Novacar. Besides the Portuguese production, several Novacar models were also manufactured by the Brazilian branch of Majorette.
