The Pegah Star company manufactures model cars in China for the Iranian market. The range consists of the Iranian-built cars in various colours and liveries: the Paykan, a saloon based on the 1966 Hillman Hunter made for decades, the more modern Samand saloon car, its successor Samand Soren and the Peugeot Pars, as well as a Mercedes-Benz as an Iranian police car in two different liveries (normal police and special forces). These models are made of diecast with pull-back action and opening parts in about 1/30th scale. Furthermore, Pegah Star introduced a 1/27th scale plastic model of the Peugeot 206 with pull-back action, also in two police versions: In addition to a model in the standard green and white livery, a blue and white model as used by the highway police has been released. The original car was built in Iran under licence by IKCO and was in fact operated by the Iranian police in large numbers.
