In the 1980s, the Greek company Polfi Toys manufactured cheap diecast model cars in various scales, notably in 1/25th and 1/43rd scale, as well as in smaller scales from 1/55th to 1/64th for cars and about 1/100th for trucks. The models were partly inspired by products from other manufacturers. For example, some of the cars in the 1/25th scale range strongly remind of Bburago (Mercedes-Benz 190, BMW 635) or Polistil (Volvo 760) models. Several sports cars were released in 1/43rd scale, in a rather crude finish. But the widest range of Polfi Toys products was available in smaller scales. Among others, the following models were produced in 1/55th scale or smaller: Citroën CX (based on the Majorette model), Mercedes-Benz 450 SE, Mini, Opel Monza, Renault 17 and various truck models.
