In the 1970s and 1980s, the Argentinean company Ruestes manufactured various kinds of toys, including remote controlled plastic toy cars in various scales and 1/64th and 1/37th scale diecast models. The diecast models are copies of products originally made by Guisval from Spain. The range in the larger scale consisted of four models which were released in various colours and liveries: Ford Capri, Renault 12 Break, Renault 17 TS and Citroën SM. In the 1990s, Ruestes concentrated on importing toys instead of manufacturing them, and during the economical crisis in 1999/2000, the company had to close down.
