SMTS (Scale Model Technical Services) is a manufacturer of white metal handbuilt models based in Hastings, Sussex, south-east England. The company was founded in 1983 by John Allen, Keith Williams and Steve Overy. Initially, SMTS concentrated on 1/43rd scale model cars, mainly of sports and racing cars, but later aircraft in 1/200th scale as well as historic space vehicles were also introduced. In three decades, over 200 different cars and 100 aircraft were released. In addition to the company's own ranges, an important part of the production have been models commissioned by other companies such as Minimarque, Marsh Models, K+R Replicas, British Heritage Models, the Dutch company Daimler House with the model ranges Conquest Models and Madison Models, as well as the model car shop Das Automobil in Munich. The car models are finely detailed with many plated and photo-etched parts and available fully finished and in kit form.
