Somerville, an English manufacturer founded by Doug McHard in 1978, produced handbuilt white metal models in 1/43rd scale, primarily of popular English cars from the 1930s to the 1960s. The range also included several Volvo and Saab models originally made for RobEddie in Stockholm. When McHard died in 2002, the future of Somerville seemed to be incertain. But then the assets were bought by a company called Promod who re-launched the model car range.
