Francesco De Stasio produced handbuilt models under the brand name of FDS, first made of white metal, later also of resin, in Naples from 1973. In 1992, his son Pasquale founded the company Top Model Collection and introduced 1/43rd scale diecast and resin models made in larger quantities. The extensive product range mainly consisted of sports and racing cars from the 1930s to the 1970s, but some contemporary cars (Fiat Coupé, Alfa Romeo GTV) have also been modelled. Furthermore, the "Le Mans 43" series featured models of racing sports cars from the 1980s and 1990s. The Top Model Collection models are well detailed, but the finish is not always on a par with products made by competitors such as Best, Bang or Spark.
