The Portuguese company Troféu introduced its first diecast model in 1990. The company is specialized in very accurately modelled and decorated rally cars in 1/43rd scale. Nevertheless, models of the road cars on which these rally cars are based can also be found in the Troféu range in various liveries. Furthermore, several models of cars from other racing series (Le Mans, touring cars) have also been released. Troféu has remained one of the few manufacturers still producing detailed 1/43rd scale diecast model cars in Europe.
