Jürg Zaugg from Olten in Switzerland released 1/43rd scale model cars under his own name in the 1970s and 1980s. The best known range was "Empire Models", consisting of American cars mostly from the 1950s and made of resin and white metal. According to the writing on the baseplate some of these models have been made by Tin Wizard in Germany. Some Zaugg models were subsequently marketed under the name of "Skyline Models" by Tin Wizard. Zaugg also made a range of circus vehicles called "Clown Models", based on model cars by other manufacturers such as the Lion Toys Commer van.
