Under the name of Alpenwagen.ch, Andi Engi and Stephan Flück started producing detailed 1/24th scale diecast models of the 1951 Saurer L4C Alpenwagen III in the livery of Swiss Post in 2006. The models were designed in Switzerland and made in China and have features such as opening doors and bonnets, an accurate engine reproduction, steerable front wheels, suspension, working headlights and rear lights, a removable snow plough, a driver figure, and four milk cans as cargo. In the following years, further accessories for this bus model were added to the range, including a trailer with luggage and with a built-in sound module reproducing the engine noise and the three-tone horn of Swiss Post, as well as figurines of passengers. In the same scale, the company also released an electric tractor from 1975 as used by Swiss Post at railway stations, as well as matching trailers. The tractor model was made in Switzerland and was available either as a radio-controlled or as a static model.
