Kado from Japan made several diecast model cars, mostly in 1/43rd scale. In the 1970s the company commissioned Tomy, another Japanese toy manufacturer, to produce models for them. Most of these models based on existing dies and tools used for the Tomica Dandy range. However, Kado also released other 1/43rd scale models, e.g. a 1960 Prince Skyline and some more Japanese cars from the 1960s in the style of the models from those days made by Cherryca Phenix, Model Pet and Micro Pet, several Porsches, Dome prototypes and racing cars in 1/28th and 1/40th scale and a promotional set for a magazine consisting of models in about 1/64th scale based on a Isuzu van from Tomy’s Tomica range.
