The "Mancelle" constructed by the French bellfounder Amédée Bollée was the first automobile to be put into series production: About 50 items were made between 1878 and 1881. The vehicle was steam-powered and reached a top speed of about 40 km/h. The 1/43rd scale diecast model was released by RAMI in 1966 and is also the oldest prototype reproduced in the range of veteran cars by this manufacturer.
