A Sweet Porsche 911 Carrera
The 1/46th scale model of a Porsche 911 Carrera (type 992) shown on this page is not suitable as a collector's item due to its material, but could delight some model car collectors as a gift: it is made of chocolate. As I do not only like model cars, but also like chocolate, I enjoyed this copy before the expiry date.
The manufacturer of the small Porsche is Confiserie Heilemann from Woringen in the Allgäu region of Germany, but the model is distributed by a company from Frankfurt am Main called Chocolissimo and is officially licensed by Porsche. This is also the case for the two larger models of the Porsche 911 Coupé and Cabriolet in 1/28th scale, which are also part of the Chocolissimo range. The miniature comes in a clear plastic box with a white ribbon.
The model is made of milk chocolate, and white chocolate is used to highlight the headlights. It is 98 millimetres long, 40 millimetres wide, 29 millimetres high and weighs 45 grams. Details of chassis and engine are visible on the bottom side.
A direct comparison with the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS by Minichamps in 1/43rd scale reveals the slightly smaller scale of the Chocolissimo model. The chocolate model is also recognisable as a type 992 (built from 2019).
More chocolate cars are available from the following producers, suppliers, and chocolate shops, among others:
