The Deutsches Museum (which means German Museum) in Munich, Germany, is the world's largest museum of science and technology, with approximately 1.5 million visitors per year and about 28,000 exhibited objects. It was established in 1903. In the 1980s, 1/43rd scale diecast models of famous German classic cars were exclusively available at the museum shop as souvenir items, including the first Opel car from 1899 and the 1931 DKW F1. These are unpainted static models with fixed wheels, but proportions and details are quite accurate.
