Abrex, a company from Prague which originally imported model cars made by other manufacturers to the Czech Republic, has been marketing Skoda model cars in various scales (mostly 1/43rd, but also 1/72nd, 1/24th and 1/18th) under its own name since 2005. Originally, all models were made in China by Hongwell Cararama. The first model was a 2004 Skoda Octavia, followed by other current Skoda models. Since autumn 2006, models of classic Skodas, as well as models of the preceding company Laurin & Klement, have been added to the range, too. Furthermore, 1/18th scale moterbikes and 1/43rd scale trucks, as well as 1/14th scale radio-controlled cars, became available in the following years. Some new 1/43rd scale models issued since 2017, starting with Skoda Forman and Skoda 1201, are no longer made in China, but in Czech Republic.
