In the first years of 21st century, the Chinese manufacturer Hotworks made 1/18th and 1/24th scale diecast models of sports cars, which often came with separate tuning parts to assemble. In 2010, the company introduced several highly detailed model cars under the new name of Absolute Hot: a Mercedes-Benz SL AMG as a 1/18th scale diecast model with opening parts and retractable rooftop, the same car as a 1/43rd scale resin model, and two diecast models in 1/64th scale, BMW X5 and X6. The Mercedes-Benz models were distributed by Schuco. The production was already discontinued in the following year, but the 1/18th scale Mercedes-Benz, as well as a BMW 5 series GT in the same scale previously announced by Absolute Hot, were later released under the RMZ name, a brand of the Uni-Fortune company.
