Artitec is a Dutch manufacturer of model railroads and accessories, based in Amsterdam. The origins of the company date back to the 1980s, when it built models and dioramas for museums, architects and shipyards. Since the 1990s, Artitec has specialized in resin kits of buildings and accessories for model railway layouts. Railroad vehicles, as well as ship and airplane models, were also introduced, and a wide range of ready-made models of road vehicles in 1/87th, 1/160th and 1/220th scale have been released since 2014, with a focus on military, construction and agricultural vehicles. Furthermore, there are classic DAF trucks in many civilian liveries, and in 2018, Artitec started producing highly detailed 1/87th scale resin models of cars and commercial vehicles from the early 20th century, starting with a Opel truck from 1914 and a Ford T in various versions. Part of the ready-made models are now assembled in Vietnam, and many products are also available in kit form.
