Boley is a manufacturer and distributor of toys, founded in 1981 and based in Los Angeles and Hong Kong. In the field of model cars, the company is best known for its "Dept-187" series of American trucks and emergency vehicles made of diecast in 1/87th scale. This series was introduced in 1998 and manufactured in China by Hongwell Cararama. In 2004, the German company Schuco took over the distribution of these models in Europe and marketed them under its own name. In the 2000s, Boley also released models of commercial vehicles in 1/32nd and 1/48th scale, as well as diecast toy cars in 1/32nd to 1/38th scale with pull-back action and in 1/64th scale.
