Pablo Villarroel from Argentina manufactured handbuilt model cars in small series under the name of Cobre (Spanish for "copper") from 2004 to 2011. The models are in 1/43rd scale, made of resin with metal parts and are very well detailed. The first release was a 1952 Alfa Romeo Disco Volante, followed by two Argentinean cult cars from the 1970s, the IKA/Renault Torino and the Dodge GTX, and finally three Argentinean-made buses. After production of his own models had ceased, Pablo Villarroel continued to make conversions of other companies’ models in his workshop by special customer order.
