Companion from Krasnodar, Russia, started producing handbuilt models in 1/43rd scale in 1994. The first model was a re-edition of a MTZ-80 Belarus tractor originally made by Tantal. This model was first released in plastic, later also as a diecast metal model. However, the Companion range now mainly consists of models of Russian buses and trucks, which are entirely made of plastic. Several caravan models have also been introduced by Companion.
