Galgo was an Argentinean manufacturer of model cars. The company was founded by brothers Enrique and Roberto Pecareq and released its first models in 1969. In the beginning, a series of sports and racing cars in about 1/64th scale was made from a lead alloy; besides the models developped by Galgo themselves there were also some copies of Matchbox models. From 1977 onwards, Galgo produced diecast models in various scales. In addition to cars in 1/43rd and 1/64th scale, there was notably a series of 1/64th scale Formula 1 racers. Buses in 1/64th scale and trucks in 1/87th scale were also made by Galgo. Production ceased in 1985, but some of the bus models were later re-issued by Buby.
