IST Models was the brand name of a range including 1/43rd scale models of Eastern European cars, introduced in 2007 by the Chinese company Premium & Collectibles Trading Co. Ltd., which also manufactures the Ixo model car range. Quality and finish of the models are on a par with the Ixo models. In most cases, the models are slightly altered and better detailed versions of model cars previously released in partwork series, e.g. in a German series dealing with cars from the GDR issued by the publishing house Atlas and in partworks by De Agostini for Poland and Russia. Several 1/18th scale models of Russian cars were later added to the range. The IST Models name was dropped in 2012, models of Eastern European cars by Ixo have been released in the manufacturer’s main range since then.
