Jotus was established as a professional model wholesaler and retailer in Hong Kong in 1998 and has run an online shop since then. In 2009, the company introduced its own range of resin models under the brand name of "Resin Specialist". Various British buses in 1/76th scale have been released in this range, as well as models of the first and second generation Toyota MR2 in 1/43rd scale. In early 2020, the first 1/76th scale model bus with a diecast body and resin parts was produced, a Dennis Dragon double decker.
