PCX87 is an in-house brand by the German mail order company Model Car World for 1/87th scale plastic models, launched in 2020. The brand name refers to Premium ClassiXXs, another Model Car World brand specialized in diecast models in 1/43rd and 1/12th scale. The models are made in China and Bangladesh and are distributed by Brekina, a manufacturer also owned by Model Car World. The PCX87 range includes many European cars from the 1970s and 1980s, but also contemporary cars, as well as fire engines from the USA and Europe. In several cases, popular 1/87th scale models previously made in resin by BoS have been reissued by PCX87 as plastic models in higher production numbers.
