Pino B&D is a South Korean brand licensing agency founded in 2008 under the name of Pino Studio - the current name was introduced in 2011. In 2009, the company signed a contract with the Hyundai group for distributing merchandising products. In the following years, several 1/38th scale diecast models of contemporary Hyundai cars, as well as a model of the 1975 Hyundai Pony, were introduced in a range called "Hyundai Brand Collection". They were made in China by manufacturers such as Welly and MSZ and feature opening doors, pull-back action, as well as tampo printings for window surroundings, chrome lines and other details. Models of cars made by the Kia company, also belonging to the Hyundai group, were released in the same scale and with the same finish. While Welly is indicated as manufacturer on the Kia and on several Hyundai models, the baseplate of most models from the "Hyundai Brand Collection" just reads "Designed by Pino B&D" without any indication of the actual manufacturer. Later, detailed diecast models of contemporary Hyundai and Genesis cars in 1/43rd scale produced by Premium & Collectibles Trading Co. Ltd., the maker of the Ixo models, were also added to the Pino B&D range.
