French model maker Christian Gouel founded his own workshop in Rouen in 1981. He produces highly detailed models of historic racing cars in 1/8th and 1/6th scales, as well as agricultural vehicles in 1/32nd scale. One-off models in large scales are also made to order. In addition, Christian Gouel has released the SLM 43 series: 1/43rd scale kits of racing cars that competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans from the 1920s to the 1960s. The range also includes cars of brands that have long since disappeared and are hardly ever reproduced by other manufacturers. The models are made of resin with white metal parts and photo-etched details.
